In April, President Barack Obama urged Congress to ratify a treaty known as “CIFTA,” the Inter-American Convention Against the Illicit Manufacturing of and Trafficking in Firearms, Ammunition, Explosives and Other Related Materials. (See full text of CIFTA.) This would create an 9international gun registry. Lou Dobbs’ video report is below.

Spying on citizens’ emails and phone conversations, stealing taxpayer money to line Wall Street pockets, allowing homes to be seized by those banks with no aid to homeowners, forcing a dangerous vaccine on us after exaggerating the dangers of H1N1, refusing to label genetically modified food, perpetuating illegal resource wars, committing genocide in Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine and Pakistan… Not enough. Corpo-gov wants to take our guns away. First step is registration, as Janet Reno articulated back in 1993:

Waiting periods are only a step. Registration is only a step. The prohibition of private firearms is the goal.” Janet Reno, former US Attorney General, 1993

Yet these attempts to subvert our inalienable rights violate the U.S. Constitution:

“Where rights as secured by the Constitution are involved, there can be no rule making or legislation which will abrogate them.” Miranda v. Ariz., 384 U.S. 436 at 491 (1966). http://caselaw.lp.findlaw.com/scripts/getcase.pl?court=US&vol=384&invol=436

Not only does gun registration constitute “rule making” but it also violates my right to privacy. Is it anyone’s business but my own how many and what kind of guns I own? Who are these control freaks to think they can require us to register our guns, and our animals (as in the case of the proposed National Animal Identification System and the slew of food “safety bills” now in Congress)? And then to merge national gun registries into an international database? Why?
